Inspect Privacy Policy

1. Purpose

This Privacy Statement is the official privacy policy for Zoodata Inspect users. In this policy we explain how and why we collect information, how we use it, and what controls our clients and employees have over our use of it.

2. Application

The policy applies to all personal and business information collected by Zoodata in the course of our ordinary business activities including usage of Zoodata Inspect. It excludes information covered by non-disclosure or other agreements relating to confidentiality, proprietary information, and information generally considered to be commercial-in-confidence.

3. Policy

Zoodata is committed to protecting and safeguarding the privacy of our clients in their dealings with us and our Zoodata Inspect product.

3.1. Collection of Information

Some information provided to us by clients, customers, contractors and other third parties might be considered private, confidential, or personal. Without these details we would not be able to carry on our business and provide our services to the public. We will only collect such information if it is necessary for one of our functions or activities, such as configuration and installation of Zoodata Inspect.

At or before the time the personal information is collected by us we will take reasonable steps to ensure our clients are made aware of who we are, the fact they are able to gain access to the information held about them, the purpose of the collection, the type(s) of organisations to which we usually disclose the information collected, any laws requiring the collection of the information and the main consequences for our clients if all or part of the information is not collected. Personal and sensitive information collected during the configuration and installation of Zoodata Inspect will not be disclosed to parties other than those associated with instance and usage of Zoodata Inspect being configured and installed by Zoodata for a specific client.

Zoodata is not responsible for the accuracy of personal and / or sensitive information collected by Zoodata Inspect users nor is Zoodata responsible for how users choose to use the information within Zoodata Inspect during their normal business operations.

3.2. Use of Information Collected and Disclosure of Information to Others

3.2.1 We may use or disclose generic and general information we hold for the primary purpose for which it is collected (e.g. provision of our services, including administration of our services, notification to you about changes to our services, record-keeping following termination of our services to you and technical maintenance). We may also use such information for a purpose related to the primary purpose of collection and where it would reasonably be expected by you that we would use the information in such a way. This information is only disclosed to persons outside our business in the circumstances set out in this policy or as otherwise notified to you at the time of collection of the information. We will not use or disclose personal or sensitive information collected by Zoodata Inspect users. 

3.2.2 In addition we are permitted to use or disclose personal information held about our clients:

  • Where our clients have consented to the use or disclosure;

  • Where we reasonably believe that the use or disclosure is necessary to lessen or prevent a serious, immediate threat to someone's health or safety or the public's health or safety;

  • Where we reasonably suspect that unlawful activity has been, is being or may be engaged in and the use or disclosure is a necessary part of our investigation or in reporting the matter to the relevant authorities;

  • Where such use or disclosure is required under or authorised by law (for example, to comply with a judicial order);

  • Where we reasonably believe that the use or disclosure is reasonably necessary for prevention, investigation, prosecution and punishment of crimes or wrongdoings or the preparation for, conduct of, proceedings before any court or tribunal or the implementation of the orders of a court or tribunal by or on behalf of an enforcement body.

     

3.2.3 We are not responsible for data collected about our clients by any other organisations, be they affiliated with Zoodata or otherwise.

3.3.Data Transmission

3.3.1 Zoodata places great importance on the security of all information associated with our Zoodata Inspect customers, clients and contractors. We have security measures in place to attempt to protect against the loss, misuse and alteration of personal information under our control, yet no data transmission can be guaranteed to be 100 per cent secure. As a result, while we strive to protect client’s personal information, Zoodata cannot ensure or warrant the security of any information transmitted to or from it, and clients requesting such transmission do so at their own risk. Once Zoodata receives the transmission, we make every effort to ensure its security on its systems and warrant its security therein.

3.3.2 Ultimately, individuals are solely responsible for keeping their passwords and/or account information secret. They should exercise care and responsibility whenever they are making use of their individual accounts.

3.3.3 Zoodata employees will never divulge the details of any individual Zoodata Inspect account and will endeavour never to allow an unauthorised individual access to an account.

3.4. Changes to Privacy Policy

If Zoodata decides to change its privacy policy, it will post changes to the privacy agreement page on its website so clients are always aware of what information is collected, how it is used and the way in which information may be disclosed. As a result, please remember to refer back to this privacy policy regularly to review any amendments.

3.6. Acceptance

Usage of Zoodata Inspect implies acceptance of this privacy policy and acknowledgement of the user’s understanding of the principles and premises of this document.
